Profile of a Reptile

A personal piece that was started a while back. I hadn't been sure how to finish it, but when looking at it again a few days ago, I realized that an ornate head piece was the answer. There was a lack of focal point and that helped to tie the piece together.

Castle Knight Returns

Here is a revised version of this painting concept I initially worked up in 2009. I like this a lot better than the original composition. Below is the initial color sketch. The new composition has more balance, flow, and interest.
